THE BIG FAT JAZZ BASTARDS

The Big Fat Jazz Bastards have been a major feature of the Hamilton music scene since their inception in 2003. From headlining the Turtle Lake Concerts, opening the Field-days, and more recently on the mainstage at the V8 Supercars, this 16 piece power station of Funk, Soul, Jazz & Blues always delivers a high impact set.

The band is fronted by Bryan Bevage and the irrepressible DJ Remy (aka Jeremy Mayall) who are supported by an all star cast of well known Hamilton musicians. From The Blues Brothers to Meatloaf, James Cotton to the best from Broadway, there’s something for everyone.

REMY VS. BARNZ

An eclectic DJ meets a powerhouse drummer in a musical combination that is guaranteed to rock the party. Taking the age-old DJ desire to keep the dancefloors pumping with a seamless collage of music to new heights, Remy and Barnz have used live drums to add extra punch and energy to the DJ’s set.

Perfect for nightclubs, parties, school dances – anything where you want your dancefloor to packed all night!

SONIC WARP

A newly formed collective of composer/performers specialising in the realisation of electro-acoustic soundscapes through the tactile, gestural manipulation of sound sources through computer programs, turntables, electronics and effects units.

 This group formed by Jeremy Mayall and Daniel Peters use sound as their instrument – crafting sonic landscapes from anything they hear. Electronic noises find their place among recordings of the natural world to create an alternate sound world.
